Have you ever boasted on something that you achieved in past but in true sense has no meaning in present?
It must have been your biggest achievement , the win over your own fears, the most beautiful experience you cherish... but.. now.. time has changed, people have changed and most importantly, you have changed!
Change is permanent, they say. But few things are never meant to be changed.
Why do people change the good in them? Why do some choose to become more fearful of good things they did in past 'coz they were never recognized?
Your past tells a lot about you.. but your present defines you! You are what you are NOW not what you had been in your past.
When the harsh reality strikes on your face , you realize how you were and how you are right now.
You might be good, kind , considerate and a generous person in your old days but when you realize how people misuse your saintly nature.. you become the devil you fear! The new you or rather the changed, manipulated you now doesn't believe in being nice, kind or considerate to anyone! And all you say to yourself is "Welcome to real world, IT SUCKS!"
It might have come easy for you to learn the new things. Being rude, ruthless and careless about this world is your new mantra!
But life isn't that bad, good things still come to you. They apparently still exists. The positivity you had in your past has no meaning when the negativity of your present is all around you! Change is good, but don't let the change make you do mistakes that you would keep regretting all your life. Judgement and genuine perseverance will allow you to make wise decisions. Don't rely on what happened in past, coz it doesn't exist anymore, it might come up again, but be prepared for the worst while hoping for the best.
Personally, I have made few such grave mistakes by judging my present based on my past. And of course reacting the way I know I should not have. Sincerely feel sorry for that.. mabbe i can't repair the damage done.. but at least make sure it doesn't happen again.
Its better to be quiet and wait for the cards of your future open on their own rather than making a deal based on what you lost or earned before!
